A wound is a physical injury to the body that disrupts its structure. The wound may be under the skin, may affect only the skin surface, or might affect the skin on the surface and beneath it. An incision (cut) from surgery is a wound. A wound also can be caused by a fall or accident, tumor growth, pressure on bony areas, or radiation therapy. Proper care for a wound is important to protect it from infection and help it heal. Scars are healed wounds. Scars and Wounds can also be treated with Aesthetic Medicine and Procedures.

Acne is a common, annoying skin problem which clogs the sebaceous glands and become inflamed. There are different forms of acne. Acne is most common among young people around puberty but there are forms that occur later in life. Photo rejuvenation is a skin treatment that uses lasers, intense pulsed light or photodynamic therapy to treat skin conditions and remove effects of photoaging such as wrinkles, spots, and textures.
